Scott Campbell Jr – Age and background of Deadliest Catch star

Scott Campbell Jr, a second-generation crab fisherman, was the captain of F/V Seabrooke for four seasons. In season 16, he served as the new captain of the Lady Alaska.

Born May 6, 1974, Scott is 49 years old in 2023. He began his life as a fisherman following his father Scott Campbell Sr’s footsteps and struggled to build his reputation as a captain. Campbell has two sisters: Kristin and Kara.

The Discovery Channel star is also the co-author of Giving the Finger: Risking It All to Fish the World’s Deadliest Sea alongside Jim Ruland.

Originally from Wala Wala, Washington, Scott is now described as “one of the best fishermen working the waters today”.

Outside of fishing, Campbell is the founder of Cordova, a company specializing in coolers and ice chests. The venture was inspired by the frustrations of not having a high-quality cooler to keep his beers cold while on the job.
